I am not going to Swift Academy after all..... due to the issue of them insisting I transfer my permit and license to Oklahoma. I will be going to Joplin in early August and doing my school through CFI instead. Less money required all around and I can still take my pup as soon as I get my truck I will continue to update you all on my progress, once it begins lol
Final change of plans lol

I’m in Joplin for 2 days, then will head to Neosho for school at Crowder College. Have to redo my DOT physical. Wilson needs to rethink how they do things. My driver’s license changed when I got my permit, after I had my DOT physical, therefore my license number does not match the one on my card..... but I have to transfer my license after I pass my CDL exam, so it won’t match again..... I’m getting confused, again.

In Neosho now at Crowder College. Did orientation for school and a quick tour. Moved into our dorm rooms, so thank you to everyone who told me to bring towels and a sleeping bag Much appreciate the excellent advice! Ate in the cafeteria and now back at the dorms. I’m sleepy, which is unusual for me this time of day. I have a dorm mate, but we are using separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
Dreazz75, FlaSwampRat and Chinatown Thank this. -
Quick info for those who may be considering training at Crowder College for any company. Their cafeteria is not open for breakfast on the weekend, but they have brunch from 11am each day.

Well, yesterday I made a very difficult decision and am heading home today. I have decided perhaps truck driving just is not for me after all. Was struggling too much on my parallel parking and I know the backing maneuvers are only going to get more difficult as I continued.
Considering finding work with a nonprofit or perhaps another aspect of the trucking industry. -
Parallel parking is about the most difficult manuever in a truck... You shouldnt give up.
Gambosa, FlaSwampRat and tscottme Thank this. -
