Hmm... I guess that would depend on Lord Al and his merry band of idiots.

One of over 100 scheduled plants is in operation now. they scrapped the other 99 when crude dropped in the 80's

Crude does fall, does anyone remember the price of crude after Gulf War I, or have you forgotten?

Shoot yeah I remember that. I was 16 years old and working part time at McDonalds. I didn't do a whole lot of "cruising" that year. Between the $3.35/hr # 20 hrs/wk and the $1.80/gal. gas, it was about all I could afford to drive back and forth to school and work. A couple of times I had to ride the bus, which for a 16 year old with a car and a license is a very jagged pill to swallow.

Crude swooned to $12 a barrel after GWI. A great number of traders lost money on those contracts..yeah, I know, you all are breaking out the violins over that bit of history. That was one factor why SUVs and Big Pick-ups sold so well from the mid 90's to 2000. The cycle will no doubt repeat itself and a number of those who traded in their SUVs for a Kia will be back buying the Super duties and the Escalades once again. :biggrin_25523::biggrin_2554:

The wife and I have a little game we play, it's called "oh look, another Excursion!"

    F-150 are chick cars.
    F-250 is standard issue
    F-350 is Dad's truck
F-350 with duallys is the work truck.
    Excursion is the new mini-van.

My sister just bought a new F-150, loaded out extended cab. Really nice truck.

She brought it home from work last week...less than 2000 miles. HUGE gouge in the door, where someone tried to pry the door handle off with a crowbar.

Well it is a nice truck. It's got everything :) 4 wheel disc, heavy haul package. Power everything. And more cup holders than 2 Freightliners.

You just don't know LOL. That thing sucks gas like a drunk does a case of beer. She took the Impala back this week. It gets 30 mpg
