Electrolux in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Checked in with security to grab my load to Sears in Dallas only to be told all outbound Sears loads are on hold, something about not being able to get paid. So now I wait.

I have to say that after dealing with a broker load from Landstar, I would stay away. I was having issues with the unload and contacting the agent, and she said that she was taking care of it and finally I asked, do you not think that with the changes, I would receive a phone call so that I can be in the loop. She went and told me not to worry about it, she was handling it and I did not need to know, and just wait for a phone call to direct me to a door, and at the same time I have another load to pick up and can not tell them what is going on. Worthless as far as I am concerned

@A21CAV Best of luck to you. I am going to miss all those long chats we used to have bragging about our exploits with Swift. Seems like just a few years ago I met you on the range in San Antonio. Sorry about Bill by the way! LOL. I wish you well, and the ability to always say just exactly what you mean!

    Toledo, WA.

Traffic through Portland was a nightmare and used quite a bit of my time. I was planning to deliver in Lacey, WA this evening but that changed. Luckily I have a very wide delivery window that extends until tomorrow afternoon.
Tomorrow morning will be fine for all concerned, and better for me as there is no place to park near there.

My QC is back to having no connections so I had to call ECT to update my delivery and PTA times.
And I have to make sure I put my location in the comment section since the QC has no idea where we are.

I expected as much, what with the solar activity during the past couple days.

Sounds like a good time to be on paper logs.

That said, the company I'm driving for is in for a RUDE awakening when they switch to eLogs in Sept.

Paper is too much trouble, for everyone.
If all that is wrong is that the QC doesn't have my location I can get by just adding my location in the comment section. It eventually gets a connection back.

    Nice day today.
I delivered at Premier something in Lacey, WA at about 0830. Easy in and out as I was the only truck there.
Then my next load picked up less than 1/2 mile away, on the same street, at Home Depot. That was just as quick and easy.
I was back on the road by 0930.

Now I'm headed to eastern WY and western ID on a 2 stop trip. I'm hoping to get something out of Lewiston from there, hopefully to MN for my home time.

I'll be trading daughters when I get home.
Lorelei will be staying at our place with my sister for a few weeks and Leann will be climbing in the truck for the rest of the summer.

Walmart surge, Cleburne, TX, on a 34.

I've been running on this account for about six weeks, and I had forgotten how much I like local dedicated. I ran Target dedicated for a year and a half (where I met Moose) before I started teaming.

I picked up a student a week ago, figuring that store deliveries would be good for training. He's at 51 hours, 31 backs (!), and has 0:04 left on his 70. Yeah, this works. :) We're going to do a week or two of OTR before I cut him loose.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

I hated that Target gig, unlike MsJamie.
Being stuck on the same roads and in the same states drives me bonkers.

Lorelei just counted up her state magnets.
In about 6 weeks we have been through 24 states - mostly the western half of the U.S. though. We only got as far east as KY and TN.

Lewiston, ID at the terminal tonight.
I got my wish and got a load t-calling at Inver Grove for my home time.

Time is pretty tight on this one. I'd like to get it there on Thursday but I don't know yet if I can manage it.
I have less than 3 hours coming in on my 70 for Wednesday, which is where the time is very tight.
