I can usually identify a yellow truck and trailer by all the rust and lack of paint on it.

Next question, did they also merge with New Penn? Been seeing a lot of Yellow trucks pulling NP trailers lately

Yellow had the GMC Brigadiers with sloped hoods around that time in my neck of the woods.

New Penn is part of the YRC regional team.
And about the only profitable part of the YRC portfolio

The rebranding has them putting the Yellow name on all their holdings. You will.see the Yellow logo on the trucks and trailers but if you look closely at the door of the tractor it will say operated by New Penn, Holland, YRC Freight, etc.

I say this is the next step in full consolidation of the regionals they own. The closed the New Penn headquarters in Lebanon, PA and moved the jobs, while what ones they didn't eliminate, ro the Yellow HQ. Slowly but surely they have been mixing the companies together.

Dave1837 and Bob Dobalina Thank this.

New Penn's place in Lebanon is an R&L terminal now IIRC...

The U.S. Treasury received 29.6% of Yellow's stock in exchange for a $700m loan. The government is taking the risk. Didn't they come out OK when they did the same thing for bankrupt General Motors?

    Right.
But Obama told General Motors they didn’t have to repay the American Tax Payers loan.
Joe Biden will do the same, after he doubles it.
Doubling down on with other peoples money.
    He wants to unionize everything.
