Your best bet would be stay where you're at, be real careful about getting any more accidents or incidents, and then let another year go by before applying somewhere else. And then, you never know, you may start liking where you are at more, and you won't need to apply anywhere else. Good Luck. :)

Literally looking at these two due to their drop yards / terminals near me (Daytona Beach area - Crete, Werner, Marten, Oakley, ABF, Davis Express, US Xpress, couple of tankers in JAX) to be able to park car waiting for me during HomeTime - plus both have decent reputations & good CPM's/Miles....heard good things about both & spoke with driver at Schaffer a while back (said really good things about Schaffer/Crete) watching this thread....

They new automatics have an “economy coast” feature that Crete/Shaffer has added to there trucks that most drivers will have trouble tolerating.

My guess is that more drivers would rather work on the dry van side than on the reefer side, therefore, resorted to the practices stated above.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

How is the Wal-Mart dedicated account with Marten? The ad says .62cpm & guarantee $1k a week.

1600 miles per week. 320 mi per day based on 5 day work week. After taxes and benefits, for a single person, take home would be less than $700.

under 2500 per 8 day week doesn't make sense to do otr, should be honestly 3000+, if we run recaps, 500/day, dispatch should be able to maximize our HOS to the realistic fullest efficiency which would benefit more freight movement, more money for carrier+driver, at least aim for 3000-3500 for national otr drivers IMO! winner-winner chicken dinner, need more drop n hooks to not waste time with the Lumpers & time delay, let the yard dogs get called hours after a drop to dock a load & free the driver to grab that empty or pre loaded gold & go! that would be more efficient dispatch & shippers would be able to move more freight..dont get why companies don't aim for this kind of movement for recap runners?
