Howdy every one. Welp I am not going to say anything that most of you have not heard a 100 times. I am starting my classes for the 3 week training program for my CDL this coming week. Been in construction since all my life until now. Construction has been good to me all the years I have been in it but it's at the worst I have seen it in over 13 years. Any ways I thought I would give this here a shot and see how it turns out. Once I get done with the 3 week deal and so on I am going to work for Pam Transport. Have heard some good things and some bad things about it but would love to here any comments or advice from people that are or have worked there on things I should look out for the do and donts. Thanks for taking the time to read!

Ask scarecrow. He used to work for them and would know more about them than anyone on here except current drivers.

Hello to all. I think I've decided to go through driver solutions and start at PAM. I've chosen them over Roehl because PAM has automatics and when I was in school 3years ago I had alot of trouble shifting the gears and stalling the truck. I got the cdl in jan 06and kept it current. Am I overly worried about getting the shifting down. Should I be making a choice just on the shifting alone. I 've heard mostly good about Roehl but haven't read alot about PAM- at least not alot of current info. I appreciate any help you can give to a wanna be newbie.

Throughout this forum you will find me singing the praises of PAM, and I still have no complaints about my experience with them whatsoever. However, I emailed a friend of mine who has now been with PAM for 11 years or so and he's a trainer there.

Here's just a snippet of the email:
