Starting school with Roehl 06/01

I'll post up my experience through the schooling and mentor portion so others can hopefully gain from it.

I'm in Vegas, flying to Chicago Monday morning to start class on Tuesday morning at Gary Indiana.

Sunday night. Finished packing. Grandkids came to say good bye and watch a movie with me! Scoob!!
Gonna miss these little carpet monkeys! Best thing ever was hearing my 7 year old grandson tell my wife "it's ok grandma, I'll make sure you are ok while Pa is gone!"

I'm really hoping the airport is empty in the morning.

 

Tuesday
First day because of the holiday Monday.
6 of us in the class. All seem to be good bunch of guys. Did physical qualifications test and back inside
To get through all the hiring paperwork.
We are all officially hired and have driver id numbers.
Outside to start learning pre trip for under the hood and air brakes.
One truck had a van attached and the other was bobtail that we did some loops around the yard with.
Instructors are good. Pushed a lot of information but kept it light as well. Little joking around to keep everyone involved and plenty of questions answered from all of us

Got a couple hours of training video to watch then back at it in the morning
