They are a good carrier. I know a lot of people over there. They run good equipment, LTL, TL, van and flat. They use qualcomm. Their main lanes are south, southeast and midwest. They have dropyards in Romulus, MI and (I think) Portland, TN. I think that their starting pay for company drivers is average at best, but that is everyone nowadays.
They run their business in an honest way and a lot of drivers have been there for a long time. I don't know if they will be a good fit for you, but plenty of drivers are happy there. They are an out and back carrier for the most part, so you should be back in Minnesota pretty much every other load.
Of course, no carrier is perfect, but my opinion is that Taylor is better than average.faujky Thanks this. -
Thanks they called me back today and wont hire me because of a accident I had in Feb.
-
Sorry to hear that. It doesn't suprise me that they wouldn't hire you with an accident, they can be pretty choosy right now.

In Northfield, MN. I have an offer to drive for them. Haven't heard from anyone yet about this company. Thank you in advance for any information you can share.

Mary, told me home time is every other weekend. I'm scheduled to go to orientation Monday but need to leave saturday morning, sharing a rental car with another driver and his wife. I'll miss automatic transmissions. She told me .37 mile, I think. Been 3 yrs since drove 10 speeds. I had an incident in Feb. also. It was my fault, bent a bumper on another truck when pulling out from a dock door. I'm gratefule that they are willing to hire me. The regional driving you wrote about makes it a big plus. Thanks again for info.
Have an offer from Hogan Transport out 12 days but all trucks are automatic # .35 mile, and drivers go everywhere. Brings to mind the horrors of NYC + inside Washington DC belt. Ben said might be able to get me in orientation this Monday also.
Need someone to talk to for sure._ton bundle Thanks this. -
I've rarely heard of them much farther east than Cleveland, OH, so I doubt you'll see the Island or DC with them. Now, Chitcago is another matter... Also, lotsa Indy (piece-o-cake), Detroilet and Florida.
Good luck and let me know how it goes. Are you thinking of van, step or padwrap? -
There is an ad in one of the throw-aways booklet advertising for Transport 21. At the bottom of the page is a cluster of 6 companies (Taylor Truck line, Transport America, Bay and Bay, Overbye Transport, Styer Trans, and Min Star). Not sure if that means they are affiliated, or what. FYI
