This could be a boom for The folks in Marion IL. Good for them... Oh and I did not see any negitive comments on the trucking company going in there, most seemed glad they have some new jobs coming their way.

union or poverty???????????????????

The main reason Beelman is relocating to Marion is for the coal plants down there. They haul alot of coal in dump trailers but they also have a bulk tanker division which is mostly otr and local. The dump trailers are strictly local I believe.
-
I see the Beelman trucks (coal buckets) in Indiana all the time as far east as I-65. The are everywhere in southwestern Indiana and along US 41.
-
Good news. The wife and I plan on coming off the road next summer if the economey dosnt force us to stay out. Maybe we can hook up with Beelman. We live 20min from Marion. Cool.... Peace.

I worked for Beelman for a bit and had a hell of a time getting my dinero out of them BUT nearly all my friends work for them as O/O and are tickled to death with them.I'm also about 20 mins from Marion CC and Double L.You may be my neighbors.
-
I know Beelman has terminals in Indiana and Missouri as well.
-
the dump trailers do more than just local. seen them as far out as arizona and saw a couple in north carolina. my dad use to work there and he was running down to alabama few times a week pulling a dump.

I seen some sleepers pulling dump buckets but figured all the dump buckets were local. I didn't know they did otr as well!
