What exactly is the stuff you want to learn before becoming o/o?

OTR and local will never be automated. The powers that be would love to fire everybody and keep all the profit for themselves but with the state of our infrastructure and all the complexities involved I don’t ever see a computer doing this job. If you’re worried about automated tracks just think about how many times your computer has crashed or your smart phone froze up and you had to turn it off and reboot it to get it working right again. Imagine the same technology directing an 80,000 pound vehicle down the highway at 70 miles an hour. It’s never going to happen. Even if they were able to perfect the self driving technology it relies heavily on conductivity and anything that is connected can be hacked. I’m not worried in the least. The self driving truck craze is basically a way for tech companies to get a bunch of suckers to invest before they decide that it’s not viable and walk away with the cash.

I don’t like being out 2 weeks at a time. Heck i don’t like spending more than one night in the truck at a time.

Guess what, i don’t spend more than one night in the truck at a time. Unless it pays really well.

Make sure you check the percentage points on that loan that you're going to take to buy that truck don't get ripped off read the fine print on the warranty.
Find a good tax man that understands what needs to be done when it comes to doing your taxes. Make sure he has actual experience doing trucker taxes.
And then you can slip a wedding ring over that CB antenna on your driver side because now you're married to that truck.
