My job allows me to stop every 40 minutes or so. I'm stopping at farms, the company yard or the plant. I wouldn't want to drive without getting chances for bathroom. I'm local though

not to offend anyone but i think its funny how everyone keeps saying go to a Dr. and i have the diabetes. when i already said the doc are checking everything. and no its not Diabetes or prostate issues they already checked and i don't ever want to relive that procedure again.

Frequent urination can be a clear sign of at least pre-diabetes. the ONLY REAL WAY to rule out diabetes is to have an A1C in the 5.5 range or below. Much higher and you ARE pre-diabetic! If you don't have diabetes great. You still need to rule out all the classic things that can cause this. If as you say it is drinking lots of water so be it. Don't go by that protein test they do with physicals OR a finger prick test.

I stand by my advice to see a Physician. If you are having to go more often then before there is something wrong somewhere. Either a lifestyle issue or something is wrong with your body! Hand, you only really have 2 basic assets. Your health and that CDL. I suggest due diligence in taking care of both of them.

Oh, and I took no offense!

I piss a lot. Normal day at my last job or a day at home i might pee 15 to 20 times a day. Estimated of course ive never actually counted. I drank a lot of fluids but always seem to go more than most.

One of my biggest concerns driving trucks was having to pee a lot...especially with a trainer dont wanna be that guy. I have adapted and make sure i drink very little during the day. Water is a tiny sip at a time. 20 oz soda is an all day maybe 2 day experience. With that im good for 2,4, sometimes 6 hours. These trainers man arent real truckers I was thinking every trucker used bottles "hey i gotta whizz" "alright grab your jug close the sleeper curtain we gotta keep rollin" No it's lets stop at the next Flying J and hog the fuel island for 15 to 30 mins.

When i get my own truck im getting one of them condom catheter things and hooking it up to a jug strapped to the floor and just gonna drink all i want and piss all day long racking up miles .

In a 4 wheeler its tough theres usually not enough space and the seat is too low but a rig is easy put the seat all the way up sit on the edge use a gatorade bottle stuff it in and go......the hardest part is mentally letting it go the first few times youll see what i mean.

Just dont get caught with one finger on your willy thats not only embarrassing and sad...but illegal as well.

In general aviation, sometimes you have to stack away from approach to a small airfield and wait out the traffic coming and going before you drop down and take your place in the box downwind. There is a small gasoline type container that has a hose with male matching input or female matching input for urine. Plus a small supply of dry chemcial that you dump into it with water to mix out and sanitize after you land in the bathroom toilet.

In addition I kept a camping store toilet with human seat and human litter that goes into it to soak both urine and number two if necessary. Its the size of a small bucket and fits nicely in one corner of the sleeper floor or a cabinet shelf in the room ready for boil orders or failed water supply at any time. Having one of those rather than dealing with say -30 outside is a nice blessing provided you follow the instructions in keeping it clean and sanitized. Its resembling cat ltter boxes in maintenance.

Like the OP, I have frequent urination. I do not have diabetes, nor pre-diabetes. I’ve been to the doctor. Some of it can be attributed to my blood pressure medicine. If I don’t drink water, I get dehydrated.

This thread is about how to deal with it. Holding it for hours can lead to other medical problems, like a UTI. I tried Azo. It didn’t help. Uristat Ultra helps but don’t be surprised when your pee is bright orange.

My way of dealing with it is stop every two hours during my 11 hours of driving. I hit rest areas because they are quicker to enter and exit. I can do a piss stop in less than 5 minutes. Don’t forget to go OFF DUTY. It’s not going to kill your clock. There’s three hours between your 11 and 14 hour clock.

I have a wide mouth urinal in the truck for when I’m in the sleeper birth. I’m not pissing while driving. Not only does my truck have a camera but it’s not a risk that I am willing to take.

I'm sorry to post such a long message but as someone else dealing with this, when you go to your doctor have real data. Just saying that I pee a lot doesn't help. Just saying that I don't drink that much doesn't help. I use an app on my Apple Watch (It is also available on iPhone, and probably Android) called Pee & See. I can then look back and see exactly how many times I urinated that day and how far apart they were. Is it really every two hours or could it just seem like every two hours?

The worst thing that you can do is hold it for hours. I did that during training with my mentor. Have you doctor check you for Overactive Bladder. This can be treated. You will train yourself over time to make this better. Not drinking will result in dehydration which has its own host of problem.

Another app to consider is Drink Diary. Give your medical doctor as much factual information as possible. Anecdotal information can hurt rather than help.
