Another one bites the dust...

Wow...flipping left AND right on the same accident.

 

The driver still needs to learn about Weight, Load positioning and of course physics. The Hummer is high up on that type of single haul trailer considering the weight distribution. Should of used a lowboy or drop deck pup & slow way down on the turns.

I have seen one overturned once by the port where I live. the driver had a Yukon on first then a crown vic. whole thing on its side. at least the one I saw was only making a left turn from a stop light. this one looks like the driver might have pooped themselves

 

Gotta give the guy cred for his securement though. That thing hardly budged!

 

You misspelled 'ROLL.' Well, the yaw induced the roll force, which then acted on about a 6 foot torque arm to the pin / ball.

The size of the yaw force would have little effect down low. It's only an issue because it's constrained some 6' below the CG of the vehicle, resulting in a very substantial roll torque on the trailer. The tongue provides little roll resistance, relying on the rear of the trailer. Since that was unladen, and the Hummer weighs a substantial fraction of what the trailer does, that roll torque had won this battle before it really even started.

 

I saw the aftermath of that accident while I was out delivering cars about 2 weeks ago. That driver is very lucky that hammer didn't fly off the ramp and land on traffic below. That ramp is elevated high as most are in texas. Would have been a disaster.
