I was reached by a broker this past weekend, ( i applied an owner operator job on indeed, but was contacted by a different broker, not sure how they found me or they just fake a company name when posting the hiring infor), anyway, after talked about the lanes and pay on the phone, he emailed me the agreement and asked for our DOT & W-9.
But when i looked up their MC # on FMCSA, it shows not authorized, and their broker authority inactive. Is it too risky to get the loads from them? could it be a fraud or anything? anyone has ideas?

Post their name and number they gave you.
I think it could be a double broker scam or the load isn't theirs.

They might have just took your information to book a load and get a fuel advance.

    Many possibilities.
    Good luck.

Those Indeed ads are scams. Lease on with a reputable well-known company.
