    Gat,

I admire you just from you have said. As for the parents thing, call them up and tell them your ambitions. Tell them you have a dream and would like their emotional support.

So many drivers, even teams don't "do the job" These are the guys you hear at the terminal complaining they aren't getting any miles, but you see them at every truckstop in the tv room. They run 300 miles a day, are never early for an appointment, never on their DM to get them miles, so their DM doesn't.

When I was at central, I was the number 4 driver on my dm's board, I was running faster than some teams he had. I even repowered load loads from teams that ran out of hours

Husband/wife teams were the worst according to him, the wife would drive 4 or 5 hours and the husband would do a full shift, but neither were effectifly utilizing their available hours. Are you listening Klingon and Lady K? HA HA HA. I found the best way for a team to be effective and not run out of hours is for both to drive 8 to 8.5 hours, you won't run out of hours and you won't need restarts, plus you will have a couple hours a day to shower and eat together. If you both drive full 11 hour shifts you will both burn through your hours and need to restart

    Lady K Thanks this.

LOL how the F can teams run out of hours? they can work recaps forever! unlike solos where 1 load can mess up your recaps and throw everything off so you need a reset. I guess i am doing better than some teams with my 3k mile for 4 day runs. :biggrin_2556:

I once saw a team cost Central $10k for running out of hours on a catfish run. I don't understand it either.

Most of these guys that quit suddenly don't want to drive at all. So that's why he said they left trucking. Anyway, little or no experience and quitting a job with a contract will leave you between a rock and a hard place trying to find another trucking job.

As for the 99, its the final stop on a load. 01 is the first stop. Any in between would be 02, 03, etc. but the 99 is always the final stop.

Your getting 3000 miles in 4 days??

Central trucks do faster then 65 now?????????

That would be like 750 miles a day on e-logs.

drive 10 and sleep 10 allows you 14 hrs driving in 1 DOT day. its somewhat of a loophole in the rules for E-logs. Trucks are still 65 mph. Made it with 5 minutes to spare before considered late. Those are usually how my loads are... Pick up late deliver close to on time or within an hour after my appt time. :biggrin_25511: That load was supposed to pick up at 6/21 # 1000 but the nursery load of palm trees took them all day to unload and i couldnt make it for the pick up until the next am.
