Getting hired on here, is this a decent dc for miles, and how long should I expect before I can get on a 5/2 or 6/3 schedule

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

yes good dc. program depends on the gtm needs/openings. some stay on extra board for awhile(slip seating trucks) through out the week

When you say extra board does that mean plenty of work or they call you if they need you?

Drove by the Cullman DC this morning & seen all the cones placed in the parking lot.Tractors(unhooked) parked in front of trailers. Look`s like a tight area to maneuver around in, but i can do it.

It is tight, but totally do-able. Just take your time and GOAL.

Can you keep us updated on the On boarding process with the Pre-trip and Brake Test?

In regards to the air brake test, you don’t have to actually do it but you need to be able to tell the CDT how to do. Basically verbally explain the air brake test.

Pre trip - make sure you touch everything and talk. You don’t have to be a mechanic but they want to see you checking parts for damage, loose, cracked, broken, leaking etc.

Check, and I mean touch with your hand every lug nut on the truck and trailer. It’s a lot, but once you get it down and into a routine it really doesn’t take that long to do. At least that way you have peace of mind driving down the road knowing that you’ve done a good proper pre trip and you’ve done your part for safety.
