Iv been watching a couple shows and iv often wondered if the guys who haul exotic cars make more money than those in the open field? Most times that I hear a driver talk about reliable carriers and some of the major players they seem fairly unhappy is there a trade off of pay and treatment just for the allure of hauling exotics ?
Enclosed vs open driver wellbeing?

I think if you canvassed employees in just about every employment field, you could find employees that are unhappy.
I also believe that you could also come across employees that are happy in their place of employment.
These shows you speak of: are they news channels, or scripted entertainment television shows, or documentaries, or what?
I am an enclosed specialty hauler and I love my job. That being said, I have always loved all my (varied) jobs in my 30 plus year employment career.roadtech, asphaltreptile311 and Milr72 Thank this. -
I think everywhere I've ever worked had at least one co-worker that wasn't happy unless they were complaining about something (or everything).
That said, the term 'unrealistic expectations' has alot to do with why so many don't make it very long in this occupation. IDK, just seems alot of newbies don't realize that this job has alot of downsides. It definitely isn't all gravy. I feel lucky fate allowed me to hang around on this site and learn alot about what this job entails, and more importantly doesn't, before I began. I had a realistic idea of what doing all this was and wasn't (for which I am extremely grateful to this site and its members).
I don't know if the auto transport niche is any different than the rest of the occupation in that regard.asphaltreptile311 Thanks this.
