all i can think of is...something isn't lined up still.

are those pulleys grooved as to take a ribbed fan belt? (serpentine belt)

if so, it only takes on pulley to be out of whack, or not having the same number of grooves as the rest.

if you do not have grooved/ribbed pulleys, then the fan belt must be not the correct type, and is riding most likely too high in the pulley...where are you getting the belts from?

do not forget one thing, american made belts are to our standard measuring system..belts made in other countries, are sometimes using the metric or imperial standards for measuring....making them either too wide, or too narrow to properly fit either the grooved/ribbed pulleys, or the V type of pulleys

I'd double check pulley alignment. Also check to verify the pulleys are level (ie alternator or A/C compressor not tilted up or down).

or side to side...sometimes, shimming one or 2 as the o/p stated, to get one alignment, throws off another angle.

Alot of replacment alternators come with universal pulleys. Order an OEM pulley to see if the spacing is different. Did one just a couple weeks ago that was 1/8" off and the pulley was wrong one.

Laying a straight edge on the pulleys will pick out which ones off.
