OMG, there are trucking companies that will use their docks (I know this is flat bed stuff) to do what is called Cross Docking, they have what you need and will do it for a small fee, as long as there is no crap needed like drivers showing up late.

YOU can call the local trucking companies and see who will do this for you. NO renting equipment, no having to prove to the insurance company when there is an accident that the driver of the forklift was certified to do so and so on.

We do this often, almost weekly now.

I would think a local towing company can at least give you an idea of what your options are. I am sure they've seen this before.

No offense, but how dumb do you have to be to operate a forklift, up, down, forward, backward, tilt. Or, forget about the forklift and just call Axle Surgeons, mobile axle repair, nationwide, you need to repair the trailer anyway and they're very reasonable.

In places you do need a forklift license. lol I had never heard of one when a lawyer ask if I had one, I thought he was pulling my leg and just told him of coarse I did. lol
I told the plant manager that the lawyer had ask me, he laughed and gave me one. lol

A good place to start would be a lumber company, I have used them in the past.
