I made the mistake going into that Love's a few weeks ago.

Left as soon as I realized how screwed up it was.

Spending the morning in moose country. Unloaded in Winona at 0430. Heading up to Chaska to load then straight down the 35 to the Dallas area for a Wednesday morning delivery.

    dptrucker and Moosetek13 Thank this.

That Love's is awful. It seems they just don't care at all.

Well, tonight I am at Edwardsville terminal.
I picked up a load here that delivered 30 miles away, a live unload. I was given an extra $100 for it, out of the blue. Nice.
Now I am picking up a load that will be t-called sometime tonight, but it is not here yet. I'll be going to the Walmart DC in Tomah, WI.
The load will be a bit late because I don't have the hours to get it there tomorrow, but that is how the planner set it up.

I didn't even care about the extra pay, I was just trying to avoid that last pplan.
Picking up in Crete, NE this morning and going to Amazon for a live unload at 2000 tomorrow night. ~600 miles.
I have never had a live unload at that place that didn't run 6-8 hours. And with a 2000 appointment time? No way!

So I ran shorter miles today with a 500 mile load next, and then my DM is going to deadhead me to Menasha so I can get my truck in the shop and pick up my 10 year ring.

Got a much needed shower on the way to Edwardsville this morning, and got laundry done here tonight.
    I am a happy camper.

    JOHNQPUBLIC and dptrucker Thank this.

    Menasha terminal.

I got here at around 1300 today and got my truck in the shop.
To my utter disappointment they put a Zonar in it. So far it can't establish a GPS connection.
No idea how to use the thing yet.
I'll probably be here all day tomorrow, which is good if that stupid tablet remains stupid.

And I got my 10 year ring.
It is a really nice ring; all gold and blue with a diamond in the center.

I should have ordered 1/2 size larger. On my right ring finger it is so tight I can't get it off without soap and water.
It fits the left ring finger perfectly, so I guess I am married to Swift now.

Still in Menasha tonight, but the final part should be here by 1100 tomorrow.
That would be the reverse brake light switch, which is located on the side of the transmission of all places.

International seems to like making fixing things rather difficult.
The fuel level sensor requires the tank to be drained and removed completely, and that reverse light switch is a bit difficult as well if you are a big person trying to get under there.

    The Zonar is another thing.
Not sure how it works yet, but I'm told it gets easier over time. ...
    We shall see.
It does seem to notice any movement of the truck, so I have been careful to be logged out when moving the truck in and out of the shop.
And none of my past logs were transferred over to it, so it shows just blank space. I had my logs for the past 8 days printed out as a precaution.

JOHNQPUBLIC, dptrucker and dwells40 Thank this.

First day with the Zonar and I had to call Zonar for a fix.
    The Pointe app kept crashing.
It is not one of their apps, but the guy uninstalled and reinstalled it.

    Still didn't work right.
It wasn't sending out messages, although I could receive them. And the load info wasn't showing up as it should.
I logged out and tried to log back in, but it seemed to have no connection.
It wasn't until after I got to the shipper that it finally connected and was back to normal.

So far the QC is more reliable and easier to use.
But it seems 3G is history some time in October, and the QC does not go beyond 3G. They are dead now.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

So NASCAR in Vegas this weekend?
    Sweet.
I stopped being that interested when Jimmy J retired, but it's really cool that you can get to the race.

Were those points used for reserved parking, or is that Petro now charging simply to park there?

    dptrucker Thanks this.

I'm somewhere in IA tonight, headed to Cherokee, IA to deliver tomorrow morning.

Everything was fixed on the truck except for the bunk heater. It still shuts off after a couple minutes.
I was told I would have to find a bigger shop because they didn't have enough people, and the bunk heater probably needs to be rebuild.
Whatever. That means I will idle if it is warm enough when I shut down to keep idling. And those days are numbered now.

And I found a car that I think I want, on Auto Trader.
1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible, with only 60k miles on it. The photos show a very clean car.
    $2,500 is the asking price.
I sent a message asking if it was still available but have not heard back yet.

    dwells40 Thanks this.
