    Hi!

Reading the forums for a couple of weeks and decided to join you guys.

I'm coming from a trucking familly (dad and cousins), so it was normal and natural that I continue the tradition. I'm going to C+E (CDL, class 1, tractor + lorry) school now. Altho I'm driving a truck + trailer (Iveco Eurocargo) 8 speeds.
On 2nd of august I can go to "writen" examn and after that, practical one, going to get my tachograph card and autorisations (? hazmat, those kind of things). And I'm ready for work, ready to haul the whole Europe. 'cuz working here for $500-600 ain't that good.

Let's hope I don't bother you guys that much. Altho I saw you don't like my countrymen :D .

Oh, and I'm gathering experience for Andy Transport :D. Hope it will end good.

    Happy trucking days!

    Chinatown Thanks this.

What country are you from & who posted they don't like your country?
Politicians give countries a bad name sometimes. Is Andy Transport Canadian?
Anyway, I'll be the first to welcome you aboard. Drive safe!

Hi, and thank you for the warm welcome.

I thought I'll manage to get away without completing my profile location :D.

A member from Rome, if I rember right with a guy who drives a truck and gets up from behind the wheel to dance and things. "Rumanian ape" I belive it's called.
And in this case not the politicians give a bad name, but most of the people do it.

Yes, Andy is a Canadian firm with romanian background. It helps some of us to get started there.

    Loc: Romania, Bucharest.

Wow, time flies. I remember the big day when Nicolae Ceausescu left office.

You plan to stay in Europe or come to America or Canada and be a trucker here?

Either way, welcome; all truckers are brothers and sisters.

No, wasn't there, but big news in America. I think Romania is the only country to repay financial debts from WWII or at least the first to do so. I don't know which country they owed money to though.

    What?

New say that while Ceausescu was alive and rule we had no debts, but other country had debts towards us.
Ey well... In this crysys all world is in debt.

So the news travelled all the way overthere. I bet it sounded very dramatic.

Yes, your correct about the debts. Quite dramatic that day; quite the talk in America and lots of discussions including on the television news shows

Well, time to shut this computer down before the wife starts hitting me on the head with a club.

Wish I could continue the discussion, but I'm too young and can't anything say else but what I'ved heard.
Before the '90s - till the '83s-'84s the living was good. After that the "famon" came, low ratios of everything, long staylines for meat and bread (meat was rare) only 1 gas tank for rural cars and 2 for urban cars (per month). Altho... People say back then they got money but nothing to buy with it, now it's the oposite.
The comunism regim really took it's told to our population. A lot of us are still close-headed, straight-viewers and some still regret those days are over.

I'ved seen the post a little late, but not to late to answer.
Well... My personal plan is to be "adopted" by a Canadian trucking company. I think the most credible one would be Andy, because of Romanian owner.
But first I got to truck a few months thru Europe so I can raise money for the near future (Canada). America is imposible for us, you can only get there as a trucker only if you win the lottery.
I personal don't see any education and civilization differences between America and Canada. Some say that one is better in pay and the other one cheaper. Altho, not coming for money, but wanting to come for a better living.
I'm not afraid of hard work, and countless hours of driving. At my last job I slept 12 hours in 3 days, while on road for 10-13 hours/day + loading and unloading by hand 1-2 tons of soft drinks.
