How can I set up a trucking company out of state?

I'm guessing you need a physical address in Arizona not a po bix.

 

You can open a LLC or Corp in az just use a service there.

 

Probably not very easy, other wise everyone would just set up a business in a state with lowest taxes. If your doing it to avoid taxes. It probably not worth the trouble. You could buy or rent a building or office space run your business out of that. That will get expensive kinda quick.

 

Why not just move to AZ or NV? If you want to live in CA then you need to stay there and deal with the taxes and all the other nonsense that your politicians have put in place.

 

Are you trying to get an authority or just use an LLC to run your trucking through while leased on somewhere?

 

Well I did it and it took all ov about an hour. I have an LLC in California and when al the bs about AB5 came out I opened anoth in Arazona. New LLc new EIN and business license.

 

I don't know how to do it. But my uncle was a dual state resident

 

You can set it up in NV

 

It is easy, just establish the business in Arizona with an authority.

You will have to do a couple things though.

you will have to talk to a California CPA about the tax liabilities and have both an Arizona CPA and lawyer do the work for you to set it up.

They may recommend an LLC but think about c corp, they can go into the pros and cons of each one but it may be easier to have it a C and run it remotely.

You will need a presence in Arizona by the way.

I do this with part of my company, I have an Indiana business and run it from my office here in Michigan. I pay taxes for both states but it is a peace of mind that I was trying to get out of it and have.

 

I think that you probably technically can do that but you can't avoid paying taxes in both States and it will cost you more money.

You need a physical presence in the other state but you also need to make one hundred percent certain that however your insurance is set up that you do not have a problem.

I'm only saying it because if the insurance company insures you and something happens and then they say that you're trying to commit insurance fraud because you actually are in another state they can deny any claim.

I'm just saying that if you do it make sure that it is legal and 100% transparent and there's no possibility you could be in that situation because if that happens it's over Johnny.
