How should ERODS be stored + can I add hand written annotations?

I am a fairly new O/O. Sometimes I have forgotten to log in or log out of the ELD (Garmin eLog) so it shows incorrectly. Garmin says it should be possible to add annotations for what was incorrectly logged, but when I try to do that I get errors "invalid time" when I press Save, and the support is unhelpful. Mensa measured my IQ to 148-152 but unfortunately this is not enough to understand the Garmin user interface.

So my question is about the ERODS logging requirements, i.e. after the driver (me) comes back and the ERODS need to be stored at the terminal/office. As long as I keep the digital files, can I just print out the HTML files and add a hand written annotation to them? How likely is it that FMCSA would ask to see this material anyway (it is a couple of months old).
