Intermediate use of turn signal

Not everything a big truck driver does is professional. You probably just caught him in one of those moments.

There’s no international sign for “back off” if he thought someone was too close.

Most likely someone was in front of him braking to exit everytime, he kept throwing on his blinker to get over, then decided to stay in the lane. Over and over again lol.

But thanks for being a courteous four wheeler out there.

 

Did you happen to see if this driver was Hispanic? The guys who come up here from Mexico will sometimes activate their left turn signal to let drivers behind them know it's safe to pass.

 

Canada too.
Universal signal that says:
'I know I'm slow, so, go ahead and pass me now'.
Very useful on 2 lane highways, when the second truck has limited visibility.
We used to get on the CB, but, not these days anymore.

I got behind a container hauler last week on the back roads of TN and his turn signals were backwards. The right one came on when he pulled left to pass, etc. I couldn't get him the radio. Never seen that before.

 

I do it on curvy roads letting the one behind know when it's safe to pass.

 

I thought something like that, but it was over 50 miles, and when he turned off in town, same thing.

 

Someone wired the pins wrong on the plug. Crossed the turn signal wires. Easy to do if you are looking at the wrong end while installing one.

that is why you should Always check turns on trailer individually one side at a time. Not by pulling out the hazards to check cause you will never know the wires are wrong that way.
