i started with pam in dec 07 what a big mistake that was i went to school at lake milton and finnished my contract there with pam paid all my charges thru driver solutionsws treated like royalty first 3 months while with trainer, as soon as i got a truck and set out alone it was a total nightmare they didnt care how you delivered or how long you waited for dispatch as long as the deliery was made all was good with them. the driver manager is a tall ##### wipe who needs a good kicking his name is mike mcdonagh watch him dont trust him ever if ur unlucky enough to work for pam. dispatchers were cool with me however i did have to tell some b/s to get back home for time off like kids took to hospital and wife collapsed that sort of stuff. so be warned this company should not even be operating i was told the building was on lockdown as a disgruntled driver went home to get his shotgun to shoot the staff there at bailey rd, so what does that tell ya they have to hire armed security guards, i drove mainly laredo and elpaso now im not driving truck im working for a company in lordstown ohio and loving it good luck truckers respect to all of ya.:biggrin_25514:

You might want to read the thread again...

Or several other threads on the forum, B4 asking that.

There is a recession going on, and freight miles are at the lowest in decades.

From what I've read, it depends on who you ask. As a whole, miles are down in the trucking industry but there are drivers out there who will tell you they are doing well.

Stop by your nearest truck stop and throw out a few questions. I did and they were happy to answer them for me.

channel 19 you need to get in to the choctaw express or pam team runs. i do run 5 days on a good week and home on weekends. i did not like my trainer but thats life. did not go over logs and was more worried that they were droping trainers pay then anything else. choctaw now pam so choctaw pay was way to high for pam so they droped the trainers pay to what pam pays ... decated is the only way to go with pam bottom line from what i see. and after 6 months become a trainer for you decated run

I sure wish I'd have done this search BEFORE I commited to PAM....

All I can hope is that I get a decent dispatcher.
