Just Starting out Fresh... Where do I start??

The way I got my start first off was doing seasonal work in the agriculture industry namely the Sugar Cane harvest from late May through to early December operating HR 15 tonne trucks on what they call haul out work, was my first real job as a truck driver however had driven trucks on a very limited basis on our farm. My second job operating HR was for Linfox at there Northmead NSW depot for the Coca Cola contract working for Linfox also allowed me to work on long weekends for the grocery distribution as Linfox had numerous contracts with both Woolworths and Coles operating both Rigid and Semi trailers. Another good way to get a start which can lead to permanent work is signing up with a temp agency a lot of the larger companies like Linfox and Toll use them to fill in for drivers on leave and if they like you this can lead to permanent work. Labourforce, Workpac are a couple I can think of.

 

Come to England they are screaming out for drivers

 

Lots of work out there, I can't remember, how long do you have to wait until you can get your HC/MC? Get it as soon as you can.
