I had three suspensions back in the 90s. Two for no insurance and one for an unpaid speeding ticket. I was hired on by PAM with no issues. So the answer to your question is no, it won't keep you from getting into the industry.

 

Driver suspensions for unpaid tickets will not disqualify to get a class A
But Schneider may have your own rules
I think Schneider will hire you with a DWI if over fire years old
So ancient suspensions shouldn't be any different

 

It depends on the offence. DWI might kick ya in the jimmie. Other then that, anything else should be ok that far back.

 

To the best of my knowledge, the statute of limitations is 5 years on misdemeanor traffic violations. I can understand the unpaid tickets coming up in 93, which you said you were convicted of in the late 80s. Its been less than 5 years, so yes, it showed up because the statute of limitations had not yet run out. So long as you have no alcohol-related offenses on your driving record, you should be OK. How many years does your state go back in keeping driving records? In varies from state to state. Im in California and they only go back 10 years max (or so I was told).

 

As old as these are, you'll have no problems at all.

I got 13 moving violations in 1989. Suspended for a year in 91. These don't show up on any background check at all. Been clean since then LOL

As long as everything has been paid, and you have no outstandings. I wouldn't worry about it, nor would I mention it since they were that old.

ANY company that states they go back further than 7 years, aren't worth speaking too. A simple BGC only goes back 3 years.

 

Have you Talked to your guidance counselor for advice on this? I would think he or she would be the best place to get an answer for this.
