I reckon that's a pretty big airplane. He must have been running out of runway and panicked.

    One of two things happened:
    a) anti-skid system failed. anti-skid only works off the pilots brake pedals.

    b) co-pilot not properly trained on landing procedures. co-pilot's brakes not tied it to anti-skid system. if the co-pilot applies brakes (the pilots job), it overrides anti-skid and locks the brakes. a properly trained co-pilot would apply and release brakes to prevent skid, unless available runway is rapidly running out. it that case, it's time for a panic stop. lockem up, burn off tires, wheels, and brakes. then everybody stand way back, because those magnesium alloy brakes may explode.

No, when converted to the new "glass ####pit", the manufacturer changed the landing lights switch location, and replacing it, by mistake, with the parking brake switch. If that doesn't ruin your day, nothing will. :smt033

That's because it's a fake, there are more tracks than tires.

I counted at least 9 skid marks, if you look at the tires they are way too big for the marks that were left behind the plane.

    First of all, I don't think it's a fake.

Secondly, have you ever seen just how big a jumbo jet's tires are? They're comparable to a Michellen X-One aka Super Single truck tire.
