Companies need to restrict movement from truck to truck to some extent. It costs time (and therefore money) to have a driver swap trucks.

If drivers have large problems with trucks, there should be rapid replacement.

In this case though, the truck works, other than idle %. It will take a while and a few trips to the shop before they will swap the truck, IMHO.

My 2021 truck also has the opti-idle issue. Starts up then after it shuts off, never starts again. I actual put blocks on the wheel and release my brakes so it never shuts off and just let it run my whole break as I sleep. Or if I have a trailer just release my tractor breaks but leave trailer on and it also will run 24/7. The Walmart plant im out of don't care much about idle cause they currently are having a hard time keeping drivers on this account so even with idle times in the 40% range, you won't hear a peep from management.

If some drivers didn't ##### and moan about everything we'd all still be driving trucks without APUs, refrigerators, air seats, and air-conditioning getting paid under 30cpm, no detention, no layover, etc.

When something is pissing me off and someone sitting at home in AC watching sportscenter wants to give me a hard time about it I probably won't be easily put into a better mood.

If you ain't happy turn your keys in and go
Get another job. It's that simple.
    Take it or leave it.
Or go buy your own truck.

You complained the first time, they do nothing.
You complained the 10th time, they still do nothing.
Guess what, they don't care about your problems.
It's take it or pound sand.

Drivers #####ing and moaning never put
Any comfort inside of a truck.
The companies never ending need to,
Retain, recruit and take drivers from other companies
Is why we have all these comforts now.

They had to be forced by law to run legal
And stop working us to death.
No matter how much we complained about it.
Do that 1000 mile next day load by yourself, run 3 log books, or turn the truck in. We'll find someone else
    Who will do it.
    This was all companies,mega's included.

They were forced to put that APU in these trucks
By idling laws at customers and state restrictions.
They didn't give a crap how miserable the drivers
We're inside of those trucks without one.

Drivers complaining have nothing to do
    With either one of those.
The DOT and government regulations have done
More for us drivers in the past 15 years, then companies
Have done for us in the last 75 years.

They don't act on our complaints until a law
Is written and forces them too.

You get 2 or 3 complaints about a problem.
If they don't address it, then they don't care.
After that there's no need to keep harping on it
Every day. Your just gonna get yourself pissed
Off and angry thinking about it.
