Here’s my input, I ran at one time on my Cat a 5DS 601hp/2050 in my 5EK series with 58’s. It was so much fun to drive. Almost like driving a pick up truck. Only upgrades I did after running that file was a Borg Warner stage 1 turbo and a 4 row 3/4” dimple tube radiator. I never ever had a heat issue with the pyro heat nor coolant temperature.

Seems like a radiator upgrade is what's needed.
    Thanks.

Unless Colorado Rockies are vastly different than Canadian Rockies the majority of trucks pulling 90 k plus need to back off a bit to maintain temps . Newer trucks the computer does it automatically , on older trucks the driver does . And yes you’re moose bumper contributes to slightly higher temps but is needed in some locales . This summer I often saw 3 to 5 trucks daily on the side boiled over and maybe 2 or 3 pick ups with campers Running the Rockies .

I think you're right. Just gonna have to get out of it. I got spoiled with the deleted acert engine I ran before this one. And I'd rather have to get out of it than not have the big bumper.

    Oxbow and Magoo1968 Thank this.

It was a Frankenstein. 2012 388 that originally was an ISX that blew up twice in 700k. Swapped to an MXS block and ecm. Bxs head setup with no Iva housings. Could be 95k and stand on it in the hills all day and as long as you had the fan on it'd run about 200 degrees on the water and hang there. Pyro about 1000 after a few mins on the big passes. And it was clean. Swap and tuning done by same outfit that tuned my 6nz.
One thing I've noticed about his tuning though, He doesn't seem to know for sure what his tunes really put out. He called that 2012 "about 625". Someone eventually dynoed a truck set up the same way with the same tune and it put 750 to the wheels. He calls this tune in the 6nz a "575" So who knows really
