Now this is going to sound very weird but I just wanted to try to post this here to get some insight.
Basically I would love to pursue trucking as a full time career. I love the idea of driving across the country and like the solidity of the job.
The problem is I have somewhat a hard time with getting comfortable in the driver seat due to how my body is proprtioned. I have weirdly long femurs(thighs) for my height and short torso, arms comparatively.
Being cursed with these proportions, I have to position the seat back so my knees won't touch the front and my arms would maneuver the steering wheel comfortably. Often times when driving a car I have to do the same and have to slouch my shoulders forward which causes shoulder muscle pain sometimes when driving for longer hours.
Now does a truck have more legroom compared to a car, is the steering wheel more forward then a car's?
Sorry for asking these stupid questions but I have never been inside a long haul truck.
This is the only deciding factor for me in pursuing trucking.
Unsure if I can do trucking due to weird body proportions

Go to any dealership and hop up in one. Most big trucks have a good telescoping steering wheel which make it way more adjustable and comfortable than a car.
Roberts450 and austinmike Thank this. -
Cascadia's have lots of leg room and the seat is uber-adjustable. THe steering wheel is telescoping.

Driving a truck is so much more comfortable than driving a car. They design the new trucks knowing we spend 11 or more hours inthe drivers seat everyday

Also, you generally sit in a more upright position in a semi. I'm 6'1 and I can air up my seat (if I wanted to) so that my feet barely touch the floor.
