I see alot of USF Holland trucks here. Come to think of it, I only remember seeing them driving day cabs. Wonder if this is in reality part of the gas/diesel hikes taking it's toll on the industry. I bet we'll see alot of other major carriers doing similiar things, until the price of freight goes up. When freight goes up, everythings going to go up. Add to this factor the mininum wage going up in July this year, and again next year.... Everything has to go up..... way up.:biggrin_25524:

USF HOLLAND has day cabs but they are still over the road-LINEHAUL LTL Carrier.
There drivers stay in motels, hotels, depending on your bid.

YOU could either be out for one week or two nights or back every morning.

No wonder they're shutting down so many terminals.:biggrin_2555: Oh.... and that's not fair. lol
I get a box truck driver in here all the time, but he's an O/O, doesn't have a sleeper, and is considering buying one.... makes $1.29 a mile driving the box truck! I'm talking about an approximately 20' box truck! :biggrin_2554:If straight truckers are getting paid that well per mile, (Granted he's an O/O) then regular truck drivers should have more grease to line our pockets.

you have much to learn, grasshoppa...

most LTL companies use hotels because their drivers report to the company terminals everyday...

YRC is Yellow Freight. They have been buying up their competition. They also own Roadway.
