2011 Maxforce 9 shows no oil pressure

    My maxforce 9 will start but the engine oil pressure gauge is at 0 and if i step on the gas nothing happens it stays in low idle

    Usually if oil pressure gauge is on zero it means oil pump is out.
    Don’t know why it won’t allow accelerate, though

    More than likely the computer is in protect mode. If it isn't sensing an oil pressure it should shut the truck down. You need to find out if the sensor is bad or you have an oil pump problem

    If you had no oil pressure the engine wouldn’t start, or would start and die due to their being no pressure in the high pressure oil system. Just double check with a mechanic gauge. If that’s good check the sensor and wiring to the sensor.
