Works for me. Altho he did have FF-1091 named for him, it was stricken in 1995. I believe he is worthy of having a carrier named after him. Better than Presidents.

Nearly two years after Pearl Harbor, he was killed in action when his ship Liscome Bay was sunk by a Japanese submarine during the Battle of Makin. His body was never found.
