My daughter, a professional hair stylist, has to buy and maintain all her own products, including scissors. I was shocked to see that some of the littles ones cost her $500 a pop...and last only a year! And there are all the things those of us with former-teenage girls had to buy: horses, saddles and other tack, blankets, sheers...the list goes on and on.
Any Prime Flatbedders?

Yeah, I could burn out a clipper set in 6 weeks in the summer time, after you burn out 2 in one summer, you learn how to avoid it. That's the "once a year shave him whether he needs it or not" period. And I mean completely burn out the motor. Sometimes it's unavoidable. There is a reason I had 3 sets of clippers that I rotated through about every 20 minutes or so. Scissors can be expensive or not. But if you get the cheap ones, you are replacing them the first time they hit the floor. The more expensive ones can take some abuse.
The fact of the matter is, when YOU own it, you generally take better care of it. Yes, there are some exceptions, but by and large that's the truth. -
i bet my teenager eats more than your horse
DenaliDad Thanks this. -
And remember, I have 1 teen and 1 tween... -
If a driver only made two loads a week they could buy all new equipment twice a year and still make more than some joe that gets $10.
I don't think thats such a bad deal. -
My tarp pay was 75, and I didn't have to supply my own stuff.

I had to buy my own gloves. Life sure is hard. Honestly. I want to hear about james experience with prime flatbedding. I'm curious and have been considering it, I imagine others are too. If you are unhappy about paying for tarps, I'm sure swift is hiring.

Guess what, my boss paid for my gloves too
