Happy New Year! I have a 50 year old nephew with 25 + years of OTR driving in Canada in snow and ice. He’d really like to relocate to the US as he has no living relatives in Canada.
From my research; I’ve not found any transportation companies that sponsor a driver for obtaining a Visa.
I’d appreciate any information on this subject if you have any to offer.
Thank you very much for your help.

Seems strange that a Canadian would have such a difficult time attaining a green card from a employment type sponsorship.
I guess as long as employers have enough fresh "talent " to maintain transportation needs across the country it may be difficult for a Canadian to get a card or to naturalize. -
Maybe Bison can do that. They own Britton Transport.

I'm not sure if you could convince US Citizen and Immigration Services to grant an H-2B work Visa with US Truck driver's unemployment being around 5%.
beastr123 Thanks this. -
Should be at Zero. Flunking physicals and drug tests doesn't count as unemployment because they're not qualified anyway.Jenn72 Thanks this. -
