For the purposes of Table 1 of 383.51 it doesn't make any difference what you are driving. 383.51 is about the CDL. Once you get a CDL 383.51 becomes VERY much relevant EVEN in your personal vehicle. I might also add I know several people over the years that lost their jobs over DUIs IN THEIR PERSONAL VEHICLE!

I don't think it matters on vehicle.

1st time is one year. Second time is revocation.

I got a dui drugs but never heard anything from the fed. Not that it matters as it was dismissed and never went to court.

    Look for local work.

It doesn't! Regardless of the type of vehicle even for a simple running a stop sign ticket, the carrier is required per 391.27 to get from you a list OF ALL violations in either a POV or a CMV for that following year. Insurance carriers look at the DMV record in total when they make a determination to insure or not. In all honesty, getting stopped in a POV for things listed in Table 1 will impact you just as hard as if you were in a CMV. There is a myth flying about in the world of truck drivers that your responsibility to safeguard that CDL ends when you get out of a CMV! That is pure BS!

I'm finding out I'm definitely hireable. I opened up to the demon recruiters on Facebook. And I've had over 100 offers in the last 6 hours. 75% are Russians wanting to run me 1099 though. Lol and I'm not racist its the 1099 that scares me. I guess my post should have been about finding the best job. Cause I've done my suspension. And DUI school paid 15000 in fines and I've definitely got a valid working cdl the other guys who mentioned insurance are right. My time is paid now for futurer readers who wonder. At least in my situation sap isnt required its finding someone without picky insurance that's hard.

    I wouldn't turn down a Russian 1099 job if that's all I could get.
Talk to someone that does taxes and ask what type receipts you need to keep for a 1099 job.

And I definitely would turn down a 1099 job. 99% chance any recruiter that contacts you on Facebook and requires a 1099 will be operating illegally. Do you really want to work for an outfit that even before you are hired they let you know they don't care about the law? They don't care if you trash your CDL and MVR by making you, for example, run over hours all the time. Or equipment maintenance, or any other way to make it where you won't be able to get a better job in 9 months.

I never thought I'd say this, but based on the circumstances, I think western express would be a good choice. The OP has a good amount of driving experience, he should be able to walk right in and run circles around all the misfits there.
