There was a post on here awhile back where a guy failed. Went to another doctor & lied. He was arrested. They see what goes on.

That? HA. thank you kindly but frankly I could not be living life more better. When you know that any day is your last, any new day is a gift. And to be enjoyed. All the other stressors is trival at this point. Not something to be permitted to be a negative problem.

I'll die happy. As long I don't have to fight too hard for it standing on my boots.

With that said, the body as it grows old is not something that is a good thing and I will die relatively young. No need for house nurse aids, caregivers etc. I'll do my own chores thank you.

The heart doctor will plug leaks in three valves and maybe hand out a medicine or two but anything more than that? There is no point. When you accept that as one possible end, because in the Book all of our days have a number, a beginning and a end then all things are possible today because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

If there is anything that is wasteful in this situation is because its been three years since the original BP problem and heart rate was uncontrollable with no medical care or medicines at all. That leads directly into heart failure. Once that sets in, eventually you need to tow a oxygen tank then to be intubated etc. Forget it. When the body cannot process the oxygen because the heart is kaput thats it. It wont hurt too much. Hospice takes care of that. There is only two people in my life I care for and they are well taken care of.

Heart failure means the heart grows too big in size. Then it fills with a gallon of blood and has no squeeze left to move it. Tired. When that's the situation that's it for you.

Many people die with tears or great stress. Nothing wrong with that, however they look over the things that they regret or things left undone or something else entirely. And hang on to life too hard and lose it even faster.

Suns up. Time to get some stuff out of the way for a new day. Whatever it might be. All the rest of it will just have to be in it's own time.

Tramadol may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Side effects of tramadol include dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, and sleep problems such as insomnia. ... Tramadol does work differently compared to the pain reliever Vicodin.Jul 23, 2014

Tramadol is a narcotic-like pain reliever. Tramadol is used to treat moderate to severe pain in adults. The extended-release form of tramadol is for around-the-clock treatment of pain. The extended-release form of tramadol is not for use on an as-needed basis for pain.

Gabapentin is an anti-epileptic drug, also called an anticonvulsant. It affects chemicals and nerves in the body that are involved in the cause of seizures and some types of pain.

I am guessing that these are meds are all on the FMCSA no no list. It does not matter when you take them.

Consult with your Doctor to see if he can subscribe an acceptable replacement for you.

    Yes, it's greatly exaggerated.

That driver killed two people! Fatal accidents get thorough investigations. At the scene of the accident troopers found a medical cooler in his cab with insulin, syringes and test strips after he claimed he wasn't a diabetic to get a med cert. Fatal accident November, 2017. Charged with a crime September, 2019.

The defination of moderate to severe pain is intractable. Tramadol is a medicine alternative given to those who have diverted, sold or otherwise abused (Run out early within 30 days) of narcotic pain medicine. In America there are 16 different pain medicines availible in narcotic form starting with Hydrocodone which has a street name Norco. That is the most basic, weakest and entry level medicine.

When you factor in Norco 10 mg pill equals 10 morphine milligram equilvilant and the State limits pain doctors to 50 mme daily that means the patient will recieve three to four norcos a day. For a percentage of people that helps them long term. This is for pain for which there proven sources such as osteo arthritis, osteopenia etc among other causes of which there is many and varied. All of which for the most part has been proven through some form of imagery and very careful "Batteries" of questionings of which there are ranging from 19 to 44 questions combined with a assessment of the patient with or without medicine in them to determine everything. Including being able to continue treatment.

They are generally too sick to be truckers or similar public safety positions. So they are excluded. Now. There is a group of about 4 medicines that is very common. Oxycodone is the top dog. Fentanyal patches are availible for those who have gone beyond pills and do not exhibit allergy or reactions that threaten breathing to that particular medicine. Fent is the king of all pain medicine and it will put you out if given IV. Otherwise patches.

The problem with patches is if a child or family member totally normal in health opens a patch and it contaminates their skin it will kill them. Or try to. You will not find very many on fent. The minute a script for fent is written the state is involved in near real time as is the Pharmacist who now has a battery of questions and forms to fill before issuing a box to the patient.

There is two very special exclusions to the Daily MME limitations imposed on pain patients. Cancer and end of life situations in Hospice generally and other types of short time pending death. Where life being awake is impossible. Coma is induced and life support set up or sent to hospice and they induce it and continue treatment using a special class of several medicines designed to support the dying as the cancer eats them up fast or slow. It does not stop all their pain.

The other is surgery. When I had mine last december according to my patient records, I was filled with demerol and versed. Plus a stomach nausea medicine first day. Pain levels were zero. I did not need much other than food. 6 weeks after that I fired physical therapy and learned about non THC CBD oil. (It's FDA controlled and 110 dollars for 500 ml container in lotion form) CBD is a alternative to pain pills and all the problems associated with it. I am about ready to use November as a experiment. Purchasing a full bottle first week of the month and use just that medicine. And see where I am. It is legal for everything including driving because it has no THC in it. If it did and I show up with THC in my own doctors, then we all will go to jail together.

Tramadol etc is a nice alternative as is Torodol etc. But it is not true pain medicine. They work too slowly and differently within the body and does not take care of the problem.

I have left pain treatment after about 10 years in pills. Last month. Depending on the accumulated damage to the heart and if repairs are possible we will see which way life in the near future. (Or not much of one)

I have studied this situation so much over the years and trucking industry and federal government says one thing.

NO Narcotics. No valium mind medicine. NO anything that crosses the Blood Brain Barrier to alter your mind. Theoratically they could ban coffee and smoking cigerettes too for truckers if they so choose to do so.

And that raises more problems as more states accomodate Pot and related medicines as technology evolves for those percentage of sick truckers like myself who are healing and actually getting almost well enough to pass a DOT exam which will be quite the LULU under current laws requiring the DOT doc to examine my history in the Pharmacy monitoring board and other medical files which is easily availible under me.

That is the one thing imposed by ACA around 2008. My medical life since birth is contained in three places on paper inside the USA. However 2008 required ALL of that paperwork, files and so on on everyone to be digitized into a database capable of dispensing that to any doctor that enters the right information on me to read it. If they do it right any doctor who has never seen me before will in about 20 minutes understand my medical life, including some very special incubator surgery processes that they did to bypass my lungs for a week once.

The worst part of the entire medical situation based on pain management today in ALL states is that people take more than they are prescribed, then abuse it or sell it or divert etc. Eventually they are caught. Prosecuted, jailed or essentially kicked off the medical side of being helped. And the more the states crack down on it the worse the overall situation becomes even for those who follow the rules and do nothing wrong. (Keeping correct pill count against the 30th day refill etc)

A smaller precentage like me are already moving towards CBD without THC as a ultimate workaround. At the present time my state could care less if I had that in any vehicle. Including a big rig. Just not allowed to have THC in it. If it did, we all will go to jail. The seller, the doctor, the maker of the CBD in little rock and so on.

I see a bright future. Maybe a ending of all pain management entirely. Pills will be reserved by the hospice and hospitals. Everyone else will have a bottle of something like CBD to use instead. It would be a boring life for a percentage of them because there is nothing to get high on like they did before. (That is a good thing.)

The big goal in my life is that the right doctors install the correct replacement parts I need to dispense with drugs entirely of any kind. Just coffee in the morning at most. But that is not quite finished yet. Kind of like restoring a beat up older car. You just need the right parts put in where possible by people with the right skills to do it in surgery.

Hence a 6 million dollar man. Medically. Which is quite possible.

One of my coworkers is on sleeping pills and xanax and he gets a medical card every year. Because of his medications tho, he only gets one year card.
I don't see Valium disqualifying you for a medical card. Maybe it's the tramadol. Or simply because you didn't disclose your medications up front and chalked it up as lying on your paperwork.
