Was an o/o last year when I filed 2290...now am my own authority and file 2290 under a new ein number with my buisness..will I be charged for not filing my 2290 with my old ein number from last year? What do I do???

If you paid 2290 with your new num. before 2290 was ran out, you can get a refund for the mo. that over lapped on the 2290 you paid by filling out a form for refund with IRS.

Based on my knowledge, as long as the vehicle was filed and paid for a tax period (for example July 2020 through June 2021 - current tax year) then it won't give you any issue. I would suggest calling the IRS or one of the authorized 2290 filing providers, I can recommend Form2290.com I have been using them for many years.

You should be good as long as you payed for the current tax year. But if you have questions you should call the irs or one of the their providers. I think express Truck Tax is the way to go. expresstrucktax.com
