I got my class A around 20 years ago. Never drove class A professionally but drove a home heating oil tanker for 5 years. Right now I work for another oil company but mostly do plumbing. I'm the fill in oil truck driver. I'm tired of getting poop on me. Looking for a company that would hire me with my limited experience but not make me go through school again. I definitely need to go out with a trainer because of my limited class A experience but really don't want to pay for a CDL school all over again. Everything else on my record is good, no points, no accidents, no criminal record, all endorsements, TWIC card and the same job for the last 10 years. Are there any companies that would send someone like me right out with a trainer? I want to keep doing tank work but would like to get into gas/chemical hauling since I have a lot of experience with loading/unloading and driving a tanker. I'm ok with other forms of trucking for a few years to get experience. Looking for 48 state long haul. Hometime is not important.
