No super truckers here. You just couldn't wrap your head around the fact of some companies actually pay for every hour worked. And yea I have spun out on the Coke but not blocking the whole road

The last company I worked for in Ontario doing LTL flat deck loads paid me mileage, picks/drops, tarps, switches, pre-trips and wait time @ 20 hour, wait time loading, unloading, tire change, road closure.

    not4hire and nate980 Thank this.

Even if I washed my own truck or greased it I was paid hourly.

If you spun out on the Coq that says a lot about your driving abilities. Sure you didnt block the whole road but you created a dangerous situation, and maybe the driver that had to pull around you caused someone else to spin out, and they blocked road.

Plus throwing chains on a steep Icey road, and than trying to lift is just asking for all kinds of trouble.

Bhahahah drove the Coq for years in the winter sometimes twice a day and never had a problem. As someone that drives off highway a lot I have no problem throwing chains on.

I had chains on. Didn't help, still spun out. When the counterweight is loaded on the pup it doesn't leave much weight on the drives. No win situation and I didn't load the trailer. You can say what you want about my driving abilities.
