Only thing I’ve had occasionally is a portable gps tracker. Sometimes on load, sometimes just a small device I throw in side box With a company,I won’t even use the company app on my phone. Oh hell to the no

There's one one dude that uses the portable tracker in the trailer. Used to drop them in the mailbox at the end of load, now they just go in the rubbish.

They pay, they command, you ought to honor it.
That's how it is and I don't like it either.
I'd rather have them hook up to my ELD than personal phone.

    feldsforever Thanks this.

I don't give that API to anyone. I got a bunch of emails from someone called Project 44. They started off asking for it, then when I didn't give it to them, they started trying to threatening me that they were going to tell my brokers that I won't play ball. When that failed they tried telling me I would make more money, I don't see how that would work. I don't thing anyone needs that information.

Project 44 emails me quite a bit. Trying to get me to sign up for their BS too. All of the companies that use project 44 have their own apps and I use that,so they can go suck it

When I was pulling a pneumatic we had to use 4 Kites on our food grade loads. You can tie it to your ELD if you want but none of us did it. After I would confirm delivery I would turn off my location services for the app until I needed it again.

It stops tracking that load but if you trust any company like Macropoint to not keep tracking you for their own purposes/statistics/etc. they you are kidding yourself. Turn off tracking in your phone settings.

They still get our info though. Everyone does. Google is the worst.

All google url's should be blocked at the router or firewall. Google has forgotten their original motto: Do no evil.
