I looked all threw the old post, and didnt find anything on this topic, but if any one know how much does a headache rack weigh, please post it,my truck came with a aluminum one and i need to take it off, trying to see if i need some heavy equipment to move it or is it a 1 man or 2 man job once i take the u bolts off,i dont think its that heavy but i need to take it off so i can haul containers if i go that route, thanks in advance to any ops or drivers who know the answer i even searched google and truck accesories web sites, none of them say how heavy, it only says how wide and long, but no mention of weight. Thanks in advance

They weight 200-300 pounds depending on what style you have. I have taken them off by myself. Having 1 other person will make it pretty easy.

Mine was an aluminum with two chain hangers and a chain tray. Just the generic one you see on most trucks

Just got through fooling with a Merritt 3 door headache rack that I bought off a member on here.
Picked it up in Georgia and brought it back to missouri, offloaded it, reloaded it on a ramp trailer, then off the trailer, and forklifted onto the truck.

Two of us could lift it, though the forklift made it easier to get it 4 feet off the ground. I'd have to guess at it being in the 150-250 lb range - just the size and shape of it made it a bit awkard to handle.
