Anyone see the new paid time off policy coming out this summer? A lot of new drivers will even build up enough days within a year than the place they came from! Thanks Walmart #Happy

This was addressed by a moderator in another active Walmart thread this morning, but I'll repost it here as well:
This forum is for Wal-Mart drivers and others that are interested in driving for Wal-Mart. There are several threads in the Politics Forum with 'spirited' discussions for those of you interested in criticizing Wal-Mart for business practices. Feel free to go to that forum if you wish to continue that particular line of discussion. But, please don't bring it into this forum so that we can leave the Wal-Mart drivers out of it.
Just to be sure we're clear:
If you're not interested in driving for Wal-Mart and only wish to criticize the corporation's business practices, you need to skip the threads in this forum.
Warnings have been issued to those involved, and the staff will follow procedure to remove members who refuse to follow the rules. -
what did I miss in the past. First off glad to see any driver with any bump in pay regardless of the company. In my talks with other Wal Mart drivers on the road they seem to all be good stand up drivers. Now I am sure I haven't met with the 10% but still.
noninetofive and drozzer69 Thank this. -
I got a little insight from a friend that works out of the Robert, LA. Grocery DC. One of the main things i was hating to let go of was the vacation time i had aquired over 13.5 years on my current job and starting all over with the usual 1 week the first year cycle but for WalMart i knew that the change was better either way. Now from what i'm hearing I think i'm going to accept this new time off plan with no problem at all, this decision just keeps getting better!
drozzer69 Thanks this. -

PTO. Too many unknowns to speculate on. The brochure sent to your house is too vague.
-
Made sense to most of us. Work so many hours, get days off added to your account.

I don't know much about it other than what the wife has said...but she's not happy with it. She's figuring the change costs her about $3000, which is a pretty good chunk of change for her. She's not a driver...works retail, and been there for almost 10 years, and really doesn't care for the change. Might be good for the new-hires and recruiting, but could cause retention issues with those who have been there a while.
