What you are telling here in absolutely not true. I'm personally an eastern European and know a lot of people leaving their CDL behind, because about 2-3 years ago government came up with a law where you have to show proof of your legal status or renew CDL. So if someone with invalid visa etc was driving they all have to stop doing that as their CDL is expired already or will expire in a few months. I know a lot of people started driving under 26.000lb as it does not require to have a CDL. This is in IL.

This is why I see all these one tons from IL that don't even run a front license plate. Break out your track suit and flip flops, let's haul some cars.

With our brokerage it’s not greed. It’s what the customer is willing to pay and what others are quoting. Yeah, shockingly we are trying to cover our advertising expenses and make a small profit. We have been running our own trucks for 31 years so we know what it costs to run a truck. We quote a potential customer a fair price so the carrier can make an honest profit (what we would put it on one of our trucks for) and tack on an average of $100 (Advertising is not cheap). A lot of times I hear “your quote is too high”. They get quotes for 25% less. That takes all the profit out of it for both my brokerage and the carrier. So who is out there moving vehicles for less than I can even do the job for on my own truck. I can sit on the coach and lose money, why start my truck up to do it, why list something that I can’t even cover my costs on.
