Looking for Marten Drivers its July 2021

Surely talkin' to me. Crusty indeed, that grinds my gears,,I backed up more miles than you've driven forward, and if you think Marten is bad, by all means, hook up with Swift, PAM or one of the other fine high turnover outfits,,crusty, this is why I don't like helping people here anymore, probably the next person to leave TTR, then computers altogether,,I thought Marten was the best, like most of these family outfits that go back 50 or more years, they must be doing something right, and for you not to be interested, tells me, you aren't "Marten" material.
And for the record, there was a time when we listened to what our elders had to say, taught me a lot. Seems today, it's easier to screw up than listen to someone. I've posted threads that got no response, maybe those Marten drivers are too busy to respond.

 

Okay then, I guess I went off on a bit of a bender. I was going to say, you @59, I'm not much "crustier" than you. There are lots of things to do, health benes is the biggie. I turned down 3 jobs in a week out here. One, dump truck, one heavy equipment operator,( both $20/hr full time) and the clincher, a local carrier, BECO, a mail hauler was practically going door to door, looking for a driver. New Mack with automatic, one load of mail, to Denver, 3.5 hours, unload/reload, come right back, 8 hours max, $27/hour WITH benefits, he can't find anyone. Really? There used to be a line waiting for those jobs. Sorry to come off rough, it happens, good luck, pal.
