Is it better to purchase a metal tank instead of buying a new plastic one every few years? Do the metal ones function the same as the plastic ones, like as an expansion tank vs overflow tank? I can't tell if they're the same as the plastic ones with all the baffles and nooks/crannies, or if they're just a giant tank with no internal plumbing.
