Did you actually drive for them or did you turn it down once you saw the pay? I was wondering if the truck they gave you was ####ty? Was it a manual?

It would have been an auto, but that had nothing to due with turning it down, just about working for 37 cpm and/or 14.00ph. This is like wages from 2001.

Yea, I should've stayed with Pride Transport. They just couldn't get me home like they said.

I certainly understand that, the area I am in there's not lots of options, its either OTR, or cement and dirt hauling, I'm tired of cement and dirt, So I drive for a emp agency, also getting tired of driving to Los Angeles (92 miles) or Bakersfield (also 90 miles). I have been getting some work out of Pepsi but they only need a driver one day a week at best.
Any how that's what started the looking around, SWIFT (52 cpm) even offers more money but worst loads. SWIFT promised a dedicated then backed out after I was at Orientation, so did I , I just got up and left (right after lunch )..
Anyhow not sure, I've just received an offer to run USPS from Valencia (30 miles north of LA) to Salt Lake. Its one drive day each way right at 11 hours. Waiting for him to come back on what he will pay.

I'm in Northern Colorado. Had a sand hauling job at $27 an hour. 60 hour weeks, but the guy up and left for Wyoming one week in to my training. A lot of oilfield stuff here, BUT not for long!

Is the TS job a van or a flatbed? If it's flatbed you'll ne doing some major tying down.
We haul for some TS stores in our area and ours is all flatbed. We haul mainly fencing, corral panels, wire, and whatever else will fit.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Are the TS stores you go to pretty easy to get into?
