When I was growing up my dad used to bring me home those giant truck paper newspapers. I had used to cut out the ones I liked and put them on my wall. I swear I knew every model of every make and what engines came with what model. Mack's were always my favorite.

That's awesome! I've yet to try and learn engines, I feel like that ones a little bit more overwhelming LOL!

Its not that hard, a lot of the trucks always used the same engine setup. I.E., when I saw a 379 Pete I could bet it had a C15 under the hood. Freightliner FLD, S60 Detroit, International, N14 Cummins. Now Macks on the other hand...CH613 models were most common to have E7 427's. There were 4 CL Elite models, the 613, 713, 733 and 753. 613/713 were Mack motors (427-460) the 733 were always big Cummins (most commonly 565) and the 753 were always CAT. 613/713 were easy to distinguish because they almost always had a gold bulldog. Since the 733/753 had CAT and Cummins they had a silver dog.

Okay after reading this I can tell I had a problem as a child LOL
