Which one you ordered and from where?

I see there are like 50 different bunk heaters on Amazon. Can you share link to the one you ordered.

    Thanks

That's the thermostat with this one.

2nd image of all the things come in the box.

I seen led display ones I think with Chinese brand.

Yours came with temperature sensor? Some reviews on Amazon says unit stay on the whole time, you need temperature sensor so it will cut off once reached desirable temperature .

I didn't see temperature sensor in list of things that come with this unit.

i can only hope this is meant as a joke. both the inverter and charger both are less than 100% efficient at converting power. so all this would do is further drain the batteries.

The factory temperature sensor is located in the cab air intake of the heater. It monitors the sleeper air temperature as it gets sucked into the heat exchanger. The controller you have pictured does not have an internal sensor of its own, it just works in conjunction with the one built in the heater.
The problem with this design. If your heater is mounted under the bed, on a really cold night, it will be extra cold under there. So even if the air temperature in the sleeper is comfortable, the temperature sensor will be detecting the colder under bed air. So it will crank out the heat.
I’ve had it so bad, that I was sweating inside the truck, turned the controller all the way to minimum. But it still pumps out maximum heat.
Two solutions. Get the digital controller, it has its own temperature sensor. Or you can buy a remote temperature sensor kit, which I use.

You need to get a kit with this
    41-nOYDHRJL._SX425_.jpg
Webasto unit has a temp sensor inside the intake, so you need to put a duct on it and get it inside the cab also. So it's basically will suck the cabin air thru one pipe and put the hot air back into the cabin through another pipe. Then when the unit senses the air is already warmed up, it will shut itself down
Find a truck with a Webasto already installed and you will see what I mean. Pretty much all the newer Volvos have them factory installed
