Where to park a truck and trailer in Eugene, OR?

Better get permission to park at Walmart. Walmart doesn't own the property; it's leased. The property owner may have a 'No Truck Parking' policy and no signs warning about the policy. Can cost thousands of $$$$$ to get the truck back.

If you can’t take the truck home with you I’d talk to your dispatcher and have him find the closest dropyard. Usually they also allow storing trucks. A lot can happen if you leave your truck unattended. Come back and find the fuel as been sucked out and they took your batteries. I usually have the trailer dropped at a dropyard and take the tractor home but I got my own long driveway if you decide to park at a curb some cities don’t like you parking a commercial vehicle on their streets might find some tickets.

 

With fuel prices this worries me the most. Today I got permission to park at my brother in laws workplace. I park at a small local stop now. Every time I walk away I imagine coming back to empty tanks or a tore up hood.

 

Pioneer Villa about 20 miles north at the Halsey exit is a pretty good place. Lots of drivers park there on their resets. If you have a trailer lock, you can drop it and drive the tractor home.
